Slash Les Paul

Post by Mattress5 »

What are people’s opinions on the 2020 Slash LP Standard? Apparently it’s got a more flamey top, some different Gibson pickups and Slash’s squiggle on the back. It’s a $1000 more than the regular LP Standard though! Am I missing something or is this just marketing?

Probably part of the cost is paying Slash a royalty, the rest is higher spec wood, hardware, and electronics :)

Higher spec wood I can understand. The tops look great. The hardware is the same as the Standard line and the pickups are Seymour Duncan rip offs. I just don’t see $1000 value there.
