Gat straps
My tele is quite heavy but I love it.
After the comfiest strap money can buy basically. Need lots of padding around the shoulder to negate the weight of 4 hours gig time. I usually have a pretty sore shoulder/upper neck by the end.
Would be more into thinner type straps too if possible, but I realise the wider the strap the better, probably.
What do you suggest?

Re: Gat straps
Leather and wide. No slippy, no hurty. Guitarstuff used to have some Levis leather straps that were pretty decent. 2c

Re: Gat straps
I am really happy with the leather couch straps I bought. They do 3" straps too https://www.couchguitarstraps.com/
Re: Gat straps
I have 2 of these and I swear by them for heavy guitars.

Re: Gat straps
I have a wide padded leather strap somewhere that I have only used with a heavy LP. Don't have the LP anymore though. You mentioned you prefer a thinner type strap, did you mean narrower? If so, perhaps it's worth checking out those Fender vintage straps which are mostly narrow except for the shoulder bit?

Re: Gat straps
Thanks guys, will check out what you recommend.
Yes codedog, meant narrower. Being overall narrow except for the shoulder bit is probably what I'm after tbh, so cheers!

Re: Gat straps
Ah, I see. It's comfy but grippy, if you like that sort of thing. I was used to straps that could slide over my shoulder. Other than that, I do like the narrow bits.
