Better pic
I'm standing by my passive/aggresive comment.
Well then...you jinxed it. Happy now??? 8)

Top coats super thin...maybe 4 or 5 max. I'll get sinkage, but I will rough the body up a bit once it's fully hardened. The body rings out loud, with a distinct chime in the upper registers.
The pickups are Q Pickups - hot A5 set with an overwound bridge (about 7.6k). They sound very good.
Hardware is mostly Fender USA stuff.
The neck is huge. Maybe have to spoke shave it down a little more. Frets - well, I don't like thin frets but these are tall so I can make them work. Easy enough to change out if no good.
FYI DIY - the dots on the neck were too bright for a vintage type look so I mixed up some lacquer tint (brown/amber) and gently applied. Rubbed off after 5 mins.

Just played through the BTR23 and man, it is soooo good to have Strat tones I'm pleased with.

Looks great, what pickguard and bridge did you end up using, crazy parts?

I've been feeling down about my latest strat project, but a change of strings snapped everything in place, I tried hendrix gauge nickel coated strings to begin with and it just didn't work on that guitar, yesterday I put of some heavier gauge pure nickel round wound pyramid strings (which I didn't like on my fav strat) and it's now a really great strat, glad it all worked out for you.

Pick guard is some custom thing from England I got for the original 63, but decided not to use.

The bridge is an original fender vintage reissue as is the other plastic.

I’m also using pyramid strings of this guitar and they sound fantastic. Pure nickel strings is the way to go for single coils in my view.

For what it's worth, yes I'm happy. That's fiesta red not capri cool-aid or whatever the devil it is that orange name was. Well done!

Here's my strats from yesterday's gear fest. You gotta admit, the fiesta red is strong in the photos!

Mirotone nitro, couple of coats of tinted aged (yellow and brown), then 3 or 4 pure clear.

Has been 600 thru 1200 sanded, then polished tho.
