I like No1.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

The tele is actually surf green colour I do rather like it that's why I chuck it in there :mental: but i'm really looking for a strat to replace my Suhr Antique :lol:

I like the look of the white relic but the straight virgin white edges it out.

Based purely on aesthetics? No 1, then 2... in that order. Would've gone sonic blue first if it had dark fretboard.

I'd go the tele. Not because I'm a tele fan, but the rear covered pickup option on the strat HSS format isn't asthetically to my liking. (Uncovered might be a different story)
No one ever died of hard work.. but why take the risk..
