How much is a vintera strat?
In life, don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Mattalicca brought a headless guitar to a gearfest that had a very pronounced V neck. I can't remember if JB's Changberg has one too...Olderama wrote:On a serious note
apart from fender any other brands doing the v shape necks?

Oh that neck is something on another level. A v type neck wouldn't have the flat center

Real nice of you! I would jump on that chance but I'm 5 hours away.werdna wrote:Assymetrical rocks. I can lend you a guitar with a Warmoth neck which is Wolfgang profile, if you are a right hander and in Auckland.griff7628 wrote:Curious to hear our thoughts on the V neck profile. I want to order a new neck for my tele. Thinking V neck or assymetrical..
I was looking at the Warmoth SRV and Wolfgang profiles last week actually.. very tempted!

Ah, ok... I knew the strandberg felt very angular. Couldn't recall the flat bit though. Anyway, not my cup of tea. I do have a V strat neck coming from Warmoth! Can't wait! Fingers crossed it gets here before xmas break!jeremyb wrote:Nah the strandbergs have a trapezoidal profile, my changberg has a fender C shapecodedog wrote:Mattalicca brought a headless guitar to a gearfest that had a very pronounced V neck. Do you mind sharing the total price on that including shipping? My guess is you'll have to pay customs duty too when it gets here?codedog wrote:Ah, ok... I knew the strandberg felt very angular. About NZD500, and yes, I may get stung by customs, but hoping against hope... crossing fingers... etc.griff7628 wrote:Do you mind sharing the total price on that including shipping? V shaped necks are great of you like to hook your thumb other the top of the neck. I've got a V-shaped Fender Strat neck that has been scalloped. Slowy tried it and loved it
