Artist Guitars - Thoughts?
My 11 year old lass has decided to take guitar lessons this year (genuinely didn't see that coming) so we are looking for an entry level acoustic she can happily take to School and back every Wednesday.
We did a grand tour of all of the music shops in Christchurch yesterday but due to the time of year, they were pretty much sold out of youth friendly guitars.
I did find an amazing Takamine at the Rock Shop but the budding guitar star didn't like the colour, which she is smart enough to express as "its just not comfortable okay".
My question is - Has any body had any experience with Artist Guitars?
Are they of a reasonable enough quality to get started on?

laughing out loud at the comment "its just not comfortable okay". That's exactly what daughter would say

Their entry level strat things are ok - the one I’m aware of needed a basic setup and that was about it.
Been tempted by their 335 and p90 jazzmaster type deals; I have been led to believe they have thin necks and that puts me off.
Anyway.
Reasonable enough? Yes. ‘Specially if they’re still doing that “full price back if yer not happy in two weeks” thing.

I seem to recall picking up a cheap parlour guitar and thinking it was a bit of alright for the price. Pretty sure it was an Artist Guitar.

One just arrived on my doorstep, OS60EQ parlour guitar, it sounds way better than the $349 I paid for it, action is nice and low, D'addario strings on it, Fishman electronics, dang, hard to beat!!

I currently own 3 of the high end om acoustic electrics ... and my opinion is that you couldn't find a better guitar anywhere. The first one i bought from them was made from tasmanian blackwood and has an amazing sound. but the second one i bought has left that lying in a box for 3 years and the third puts them both to shame...they are great guitar which will one earn the respect they deserve in the industry...i say go for it choose one she likes

The Q is why ? If I were of a suspicious nature I would suspect that the person resurrecting this thread from 2019 (omjoe 1 post) perhaps represents Artist Guitars and is trying to drum up custom ??
