Spooky, I own one! 2013 RG1570Z, it's killer, stock pickups are actually really good, was expecting I would need to upgrade but didn't need to in the end, really great guitars

Re: RG1570.
So the day has come when I finally picked up the RG1570 MRB. It's a 2006 Model and every single part is MIJ with gotoh tuners etc. Alhough upon receiving it, i found a few noticable dings (maybe 4 mostly clear coat dings) and a small paint chip at the top of one of the horns which is repairable. One thing i know for sure, it sounds killer, its so easy to use and its still a beautiful guitar. Maybe it comes with age. The paint is beautiful but I was just thinking Would it be a fair trade for the carvin legacy? My mind is a little clouded at the moment with the dents so I need an RG user's opinion. Would be hard to find these types of guitars nowadays. At the moment its installed with DImarzio Breed but it also came with the stock stadnard V8 V7 pickups.
The dings: I callt hem the clear coat dings.
Now the CHIP! the paint is still there so would just be needing the clearcoat.
Thoughts on these? Personally I think this guitar is still great, just needs a little tune.My only question is the value of both.
Cheers,
Marshmallow

Nice one man, but it's a 2005, not that it really matters, the prestige stuff is killer, love mine!

Re: RG1570.
Dents schments I say.
Trade-wise, it depends on the Carvin. Admittedly I have no interest at all in these kinds of guitars but I would have thought that an Ibanez would have better resale value?

Re: RG1570.
Fair enough, The dents are easy fix which could be done within 34 days. My amp is Carvin legacy VL212 steve vai signature, They already made v2s and v3s since its first production. which no one buys nowadays. In terms of using it, I would use the guitar more than the carvin as the carvin is too loud to play even in a small gig. It has an amazing tone though. Smooth and creamy in the tone of Steve Vai.bender wrote:Dents schments I say.
