Yeah, sad for you. If you want a genuine deal too good to be true, look for a G&L.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Yep, that's $1500 that's I'll never get back, unless the banks or police pull off a miracle. Thanks for your support all! Will post more details later re:the mechanics of the scam.

Fuckers.

With my turn-over I often thought it was only a matter of time before I got burned.

don't give up hope I had a similar thing once over a laptop on trademe and the police came through, took a few months, I had given up hope. guy was jailed and I never expected my money back ,I think his family stepped in
trademe were completely useless and basically did everything they possibly could to hinder the whole investigation.

Was it coming from someone called Amy Hegan? From Wellington? Well, so they claim.

Same as the Andy who made the post on Facebook. They said they needed to wrap up the deal before 9am the next day as they were heading to lectures, pushing the guy to send money. They supplied images from a guitar store in England.

Makes me wonder if they're reading this right now.

Sorry you got hosed dude, I hope the police can do something about this and you're covered.

i was under the impression that you were picking it up. Such a bummer that it didn't work out.

In the future, get one of us guys in the forum here to pick it up for you. We've got a nationwide network - and operate in most city centers and small towns!!!! :-)

I suspect they are reading this, so I hope they know that they will struggle to pull the same one again in the NZ guitar community.

The issue with picking it up is putting other people at risk if it is a scam. Who knows what the bastards would do.

Nah I've done it a couple of times for fellow forumites, I guess it is a risk but at the same time the likelihood of it turning out bad is very small. I would rather help (but then I'm also a bit scary looking when I need to be).
