Also possible that the seller is unaware that this guitar in particular will hold its value well on the 2nd hand market. This isn't the case for many high end guitars, if it were a Knaggs bought a few months ago for example, then the massive hit on resale price wouldn't be unreasonable.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Not on finance, have seen the receipt indicating it was paid upfront.

Yep, the ex-missus is selling it! The purchase is in her name, though.

There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Just saw someone post on facebook about something very similar, although looks to be a different guitar

The guy's quote:
"Hey guys. I just rejoined facebook after getting rid of it just to share this story.
Just the other day my wife listed her car on trademe. As you may know you are allowed to put your phone number on it to let people contact you and check out the fly ride.
She gets a text ftom someone saying are you still interested in a gibson les paul.
The only place I've said publicly that I'm interested in a GLP is on this forum and 2 others on fb of the same nature.
I message them back from my phone and exchange my email adress to get some pics.
They send me pics of the most gorgeous gibson lp custom. Im getting a semi for it and decide to research it as I need to know if its fake or the real deal.
They say I can make an offer but they need it gone tomorrow morning.
Anyway long story short it was the mad scam
I found the exact same pics online from an European dealer. Emailed trade me once I knew it was a scam and they said that enail address was well known to them. So skmeonein ghis group is a potential scammer. Keep vigilant"

It almost certainly is. I ran a bunch of pictures through a reserve image search and checked through a bunch of used guitar dealers, but couldn't find it listed online.
