I may have foudn a buyer on reverb for a bass guitar of mine at a very good price.
Does anyone have experience with shipping international from NZ?
This buyer is in the USA, another in Denmark.
I see NZ post do international parcels. Will they carry a big parcel like a guitar??

I recommend removing the neck (unless it is shipping in a hard case) and packing as a smaller (physically) unit. As calcs are generally volumetric you can save a poultice. Obviously you'll need to check with the buyer whether having the neck removed scares them or not. I've had guitars from Aus and US delivered this way and saved a fair amount.

This bass is in a hard case so not really going to apply.

I'd suggest Toll perhaps.. they do offer international. cheaper than FedEx, DHL, UPS etc..
We have an account with Toll and save a shite tonne on shipping locally - NZpost are pretty rip off.

Just be careful not to make the parcel too big, with extra padding. Most couriers (except Pace) have size limits that you get close to with a bass case. NZ post website explains the details.
