What are your thoughts around where you put reverb and delay around the Iridium? Looks like you've got reverb pre, delay post? Mono all the way?

I am and ta.
How's the Fender clean? I didn't think it was that groovy in the YT demos. Guess I'll find out for myself come Monday.

It's not as sparkly as I'd hoped, coming from my Vibrasonic. It does the edge-of-breakup Blackface super well though. I haven't tried to get a tweed sound yet. I've spent the afternoon playing with headphones and a backing track, and honestly I haven't missed my 'real' amps in the slightest.

I looked for months and months at local retailers and on TradeMe. Eventually bought one second-hand from Reverb.

You've no doubt listened to this demo but, as you'd expect, Pete Thorn gets some great tones out of his:robthemac wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 6:53 pm It's not as sparkly as I'd hoped, coming from my Vibrasonic. I'm not sold on the Fender either, mind. Not as sparkly as I'd hoped.
Got mine from Rubber Monkey.

I get the feeling that Pete Thorn could get some great tones out of a damp sponge.

Re: Show us your whole setup....
plenty of headroom for clean platform which is what I need as I get most of my effects and distortion from pedals, the clean is Fender-ish
Great for hard rock but did not live up to my hopes of it sounding like the Fireball, so not quite suitable for metal IMO

Re: Show us your whole setup....
yes mono all the way as my live setup can only accommodate mono, you gotta experiment with what sounds best for you, I tried the delay pre but i could only hear the clean repeats but would like the wet/overdriven repeats so by doing post-Ir I could achieve that

Current setup:
so far loving the Rocker 15, has brought the Orion and Bronson alive. It definitely doesnt have a lot of gain, but sounds great overall.
Will keep the Katana for playing around with recording etc.

Looking good! That reminds me I still have your gafc. Haven't been playing much since lock down ended, I should probably get it back to you!

Re: Show us your whole setup....
Very happy with my current setup at the moment, even though I have ended up with way to many sunburst guitars, but I tend to go for sound and feel over looks so I don't feel to sorry for myself.
63 Southern Jumbo, 68 ES335TD, 92 Les Paul standard (Stephen Design pickups), 68 Tele partscaster, 64 vintage strat partscaster all parts from 64 and 63, HSS strat partscaster with vintage 63 strat neck (My modern shred guitar which is as modern as I care to go). Also have the Lowden Jumbo for fingerpicking but will leave that down at the bach.
Two Rock Bloomfield Drive - Incredible amp that just gets better and better, now the speaker has broken in and I recently rolled some NOS tubes in there all RCA except a RFT in the V4 lead preamp tube slot, the lead channel is incredible and the Two Rock cleans were always fantastic.
Mid 60's Vox AC30 with Alnico silver speakers.
Echoplex, Deluxe Memory Man, Boss DM-2 (hiding under the board), Thorpy camoflange, Duellist, TC Boost (takes my amp lead channel over the top), Prince of tone (under the board), Sunlion, Captain Coconut 2 univibe, fuzz, octivia, Diamond compressor and RMC 3LE wah.
