Re: Show us your whole setup....
Today was not a good day.
Arriving home cramped with anguish over guitars one doesn't own is always unpleasant and today served multiple doses of the affliction.
Firstly, the black Ibanez Jay recently rescued and restored.
It's .....wonderful. Just wonderful and after all these decades, it's showroom perfect. A few years ago, Ibanez reissued this style of instrument. Apart from being visually similar, they share nothing in common at all.
Nothing.
I'm playing an Ibanez AS200. I've met them before and have been well impressed.. Eastman remorse impressed and unfortunately I was reminded of that today. I think it's the Super 58 pickups. I generally fingerpick because I can get a variety of tones and voices that way. The Super 58's are incredibly expressive and they allow me to enjoy the sounds I'm making.
Can't ask for better than that.
The orange semi in the foreground is one of Jay's. It has the DeArmond thing down perfectly. Great sounding guitar and leaves me wondering what I can stuff some DeArmonds into.
Great afternoon Jay but just let me have one gloat; I told you they were single coils...

We ran out of time today, scheduled for next meeting. It has some amazing sounds that Slowy needs to hear.

That is because we had packed all the acoustics away by that time

Forgot to add the Gretsch gutiar in but realised that I'd got all three flavours of vintage neopolitan ampage in my study.
