I bought that new then sold it, then bought it back, then sold it, then bought it back, then sold it, then bought it back. I'm not sure if four times is a record or even if it was actually five. I don't plan on selling it again. :-)

It's apparently, if you believe the PRS forum folk, one of thirteen made 'in error' in so much as they were mistakenly routed for both P90s and a trem. It was made in '98 I think though I still managed to buy it new from Rockshop just about five or six years ago. Either nobody wanted it or it got forgotten in a warehouse somewhere. For all it's solid, one-piece mahogany with P90s it doesn't sound anything like a Jr. That might be something to do with the trem. It's got its own thing. :-)

I'm extremely grateful to Slowy for letting me have it. Given my reputation for flipping gear it's a wonder anybody would sell anything of sentimental value to me. But I am keeping it. No 'winky'. It's a great guitar.

Molly wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2020 5:26 pm Haven't done this in a while:

Baja Tele with some really nice pickups made by a guy in Nelson. Epiphone Firebird I couldn't resist at the price. LTD Explorer-style thing with EMGs (criminally cheap). Very resonant Les Paul Traditional. PRS McCarty P90 with BK Mules. Lastly, a 40th Anniversary 1954 reissue Strat I really appreciate the opportunity to own. It seems to do everything you might want a Strat to. It's the only guitar I stash away when the house is empty.

Amps are a TSL100 that I put the latest issue main board in despite there being nothing wrong with the original one. The cab has the speakers from my old Friedman (two Greenback and two V30). Fender Deluxe Reverb (f'kin' love that amp), and a 212 AC15.

That's it. No inclination to change anything. Occasionally feel gluttonous about it all so if guilt ever gets the better of me I'll settle for the Fender combo and Strat. :-)

Agree.

I know that feeling when you, for whatever reason, climb down from wherever you were (house, bikes, gear or whatever) and try to rationalise your choices. It never really sits right.

I would love to do that. Honestly. However, I'm in rural South Island where they mistrust anything that looks like a gun case but doesn't contain a gun.

Working on that, if the bunch of pedals I listed today sells, I'm gonna put a Baritone neck and Strat body together ;)
