Btw BG did a damn good job re tolexing that old Marshall JMP. I'm almost tempted to get a silver faceplate for it but I shouldn't really be doing that to late 70s Marshalls :)

The little Cub 10 turned out to be a lovely wee Fender clean amp when run into an external cab. This one is a bouteek custom from the exclusive Inspired By Grandma's Furniture range. Pedalboard is work in progress.

Indeed... thank goodness I ain't one. :D To be honest, I enjoyed myself perfectly fine with just those three. Alas, sanity is not my strong point.

I can't say enough about the Laney Cubs. I have the Cub 12 as my grab and go amp, and man it's a lot of amp for the money. I got the 12 for the extra versatility, but I love the Cub 10 for a pure tweedish tone. I actually think the 10 is a better sounding amp, I just needed the extra gain and reverb. But I love that the 10 has 6V6s, as far as I know it's the only small tube amp around that does, below a Princeton Reverb. It's a shame the new version coming out is 1 EL84 instead.

But both ridiculously good amps for the money. Get em while you can, especially the 6V6 Cub 10, because they're both about to be replaced by new models.

I had a Laney Cub10, it as fucking awful sounding, maybe it was broken.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

The Strat is an 08 American Standard that I've had from new. A few upgrades, including Dimarzio area pickups and Kluson vintage style tuners.

The LP is fake. It's a Chibson that's been overhauled with Gibson pickups, upgraded hardware and electronics, a fret level, and a DIY refinish that displays my lack of finesse with an electric sander. The original colour was a fairly gaudy orange burst. It plays and sounds great now. Would love a real one but I don't have that kind of money.
