Damn! A Fetto! Was that a TGP deal?
It's mail day for me too ... well, actually, I have to go to the airport to pick it up ... a 65Amps London, 65Amps SoHo and a Reinhardt Ampzilla.
Come out my way sometime soon Jono and bring your collection of ridiculously sweet pedals!

65 Amps!! I'm there!!!
The Fetto is for a friend. We went straight through Joakim to get it, its serial #19. Awesome guy to do business with. I'm taking it to the friend at lunchtime, we are going to put it through its paces...
The Echodrive though... that is for me. I've been looking for one for 4 months now (only 200 made WW), finally found one, and promptly broke the bank. (Had to use the Klon as my bargaining chip...)
Have a read!

You're probably not going to require large VA for your stepdown, right? So you'll probably be able to use quite a small, cute stepdown TX.
Still, it would be nicer to get the pedal running straight off the mains. Crowther or Clarry should definitely be able to sort it. Wouldn't it be nice to open in and finds taps for 230V on the transformer just sitting there unused! If not, it'll just be a case of how much you want to spend getting a new transformer or getting the original re-wound for 230V.

Beautiful stuff - music to my ears! The only thing that was worrying me about the stepdown was the tube preamp... it uses a 12ax7, so I was unsure whether the draw would be large or not. Finding specs on this pedal is a nightmare!
Next up on my purchase list is a Lovetone Big Cheese... apparently DAM did a one off clone of it for some guy. It was on TGP the other day... damned pricey though. Fuzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Kawww! There's a loaded post! Lets see some pics of the AC! How does she sound?philipnz wrote:I had a SIB Varidrive. Great pedal. It was 110v. You just get one of those wallwart type ones from dick smith. Not very ezpensive
Mailday for me too - My 66 Vox AC-30 has arrived
Thanks for the advice on the wallwart. Appreciative!
Henderson - is that your Reinhardt? Very cool!
Just dropped the Fetto off to its owner. We played a Strat and a Gretsch into an Orange AD30. Some quick thoughts:
Great sound. Very much sounded like a cranked version of the amp + guitar combo, and the "core" control worked really nicely at compressing the sound, or opening it up, depending on what sound we wanted. The low drive control is brilliant!
The highly touted string separation thing - we hear it. Its very much as advertised - a rocking pedal, with no mush - the clarity is outstanding. I am rather impressed by Fetto... I may even have to order one for myself!
(Even if its just for that ostrich head!)
This ran my varidrive no problem. Sadly I wont get a chance to try out the JMI till tomorrow - damnnnnn
