It's absolutely superb. Haven't tried it as a true preamp yet, but what it does is quite magical. My Mesa MkV:35 is a wonderful amp but I can never quite achieve the 'grit' I love. This achieves the perfect balance of clean, grit and a bit of edge when you really dig in. I have to say, the 'feels like an amp' marketing pitch is absolutely bang on. So many pedals that promise amp-like behaviour fall short, but this one really does feel like a seamless part of my amp.

The best tones are everything at 1 o'clock (except master volume, which has enormous output to behave like a preamp). Cranking the gain definitely creates 'a sound'; sort of a raspy fuzz, or a cheap 60s catalogue amp on the verge of exploding. Which is what it's meant to sound like, I guess. Not my cup of tea for long periods but would be a good thing for recording.

Build quality is incredible - I think it's the heaviest pedal I own, and it certainly has the sharpest edges. Noooice.

I plugged this in and was immediately lost in the pleasure of playing, for nearly two hours. It might even kick the Bondi Sick As off my board, which is quite some achievement.

Way cool pedal!!!

Congrats!

It's cool when the hype lives up to expectation.

I did wonder about the amp thing with the Origin Effects pedal.

Every time I engage it, it's like playing through an old Fender!!!

Nice when we get to experience the marketing as a real thing!!
