The 3 pillars of boganism?
While it would be easy for one to assume it's Cody's/Woodstock's, denim jackets cut down to vests covered in patches with undecipherable band names & prolific tattooing, I in fact believe it looks like this:
'97 Mesa RevG Triple Rectifier
'84 Marshall JCM800 2203
Most of my enjoyment from playing guitar is playing heavy music; palm mutes, chugs & pinch harmonics. The amps above are responsible for the tones on most of my favorite albums, either by themselves or a blend of them. A boost in the front end, a gate front & back if possible & an ABY pedal makes me happy. Moshpit optional.

Re: The 3 pillars of boganism?
My wife’s always accusing me of being a closet bogan due to being from a small town and knowing more than I should
About rotary’s and turbo’s, which I’ve given some push back on.
But now I look at these 3 amps realising they might be 3 of my favourites also (give it take an AC/DC era plexi) which means………..

In my mind, nothing says "bogan" like a Marshall MG100HDFX half-stack.

Get out of that closet Reg18! Ditch those tasteful, toneful pickups of yours for some EMGs with an 18v mod. Scoop some mids, dime the gain, lose any form of tan you may have, grow out your hair & harness your inner Norwegian black metaler.Reg18 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 4:04 pm My wife’s always accusing me of being a closet bogan due to being from a small town and knowing more than I should

If my words aren't reaching you, I think the immortal words of Patrick Swayze just might 'nobody keeps baby in the corner' (or Reg18 in the closet!)
Seriously though, all three are in fact very versatile amps & along with my baby Plexi covers my complete spectrum of light rock to extreme metal.

As long as your plugging into it with an LTD M10 with $600 worth of Fishman Fluence pickups

You guys know some rich bogans.
The bogan guitar players I know are using shit from cash converters.
As an aside I have a Mesa Tremoverb from the same year as yours.

Re: The 3 pillars of boganism?
Maybe there are different pillars depending on the bogan locality.
I think the pillars in my area were:
- Black Levi's + Metal tshirt
- Cheap beer and whiskey
- Constantly fixing your POS Ford/Holden with parts you got from a dodgy guy in Glen Eden who lived in a little fibrolite house but had a massive double garage full of car parts stripped from totally legitimately acquired vehicles

yeah i'd say there's some kinda bogan class system in play- when i think bogans jamming its line 6 spiders on INSANE.
As a teen in Timaru the bogan king had an 800 stack and usa gibson V,purchased with his tinny dealing money. Could play all the iron maiden solos.

If it's a custom face plate tremoverb I believe it's been through a few hands on this forum. I once did a gig at Kings Arms (R.I.P.) with both our mesas in stereoNippleWrestler wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 4:52 pm You guys know some rich bogans.

I bought a Marshall 2061 reissue half-stack when I was at high school. The bogans were so confused.
