After playing with this a fair bit over the last few days, I think what really makes the biggest difference in sound over the last gen is in the impulse responses. There's a higher sample rate and longer response length. This is why the Iridium sounds so good as well. It gets much closer to giving that amp in the room feel.

yeah it's really good, does what it says on the tin. This 4U rack is a deep one do there's a bit if wasted space at the back so might look at a new shallow one with lids if it is to ever leave the house. Who knows when that'll happen.
