Re: Show us your pedalboard
I run a 6W tube amp with a Powerbrake on maximum attenuation. It's still too loud for home use. Conway reckons his 5W Gremlin really needs the built-in attenuator. I'm hoping Marshmallow's 2W Dumble is more manageable.

Re: Show us your pedalboard
I can gig a 5 piece band with a 12w amp perfectly well. It's only with early Knopfler tones that I notice slightly more hair than desirable.
An inefficient speaker can be a great tool for controlling volume if you have too much.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I think he used a Fender Vibroverb, Dumble SSS and an old Two Rock custom reverb sig on the Jimmy performance

Re: Show us your pedalboard
My cables arrived it's the second thing I've ordered from the states recently that arrived within 3 days, pretty good considering I went with the cheapest shipping option. Anyway I have some soldering to do so if anyone has any process tips to help make the process as quick and painless as possible I'm all ears, do you drill holes in a block of wood to stick the plugs into and do it production line style? Or is a vice or those soldering helpful third hand things the way to go?

I've got the helping-hand thing, complete with magnifying glass. The crocodile clips don't secure the jacks very easily, but they are great for holding cables.Voxshall wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 12:26 pm

Still getting to grips with it, think I want to up the gain on the high gain setting for more fuzz, the low gain side is quite nice and I like the low cut feature!

Man this picture gives me some serious regret about doubling up on the tightrope! Keen to see the finished result.Voxshall wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 12:26 pm
