Oh I thought you meant a parallel mixer box rather than speaker wiring changer, that sounds useful though

Yes it was walked very slowly over flat ground... bungee cord sounds like a good idea

That's a brilliant tip, and one I had completely forgotten about. In my youth (in the 1980s) I used to make add on devices for my Atari 8-bit computers that involved a lot of soldering directly to chip legs and other delicate components, my mum got me some clamps like the above from the hospital and there were brilliant for holding stuff and like you say worked amazing well as heat sinks when used carefully
