NAD: Revv G20

Post by godgrinder »

Image

I ordered it during their black friday sale but they didn't have enough supply of the green chassis so it took a while to ship.

I usually don''t bother with low wattage amps due to my dislike of EL84's. However this one has 6V6 so I decided to give it a shot. Obviously it still doesn't sound like a big amp but it holds together pretty well at medium volume.

The gain channel is very tight and clear with no boost needed. The purple mode is more perccusive (sort of Engl-ish), red mode is rounder and more saturated but still tight enough.

Haven't tried the loadbox/IR function yet, will report back on that.
Amps:
Soldano SLO100 x2 | Wizard MC1 & MC2 | Diezel Herbert
Fryette Pittbull CL | Marshall 2203KK | Krank Rev 50 | Mesa Mark 2A

Rack stuff:
VHT/Fryette GP3, GP/DI & 2/90/2 | Peters FSM/Chimera
Verellen Meatsmoke | Synergy SYN1 | Mesa Studio

I watched a bunch of the demos of their amps...most impressive, and really well thought through. Hope it works out for you.

Revv really do make some excellent gear, would love to hear this.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.
