Forgot to mention that Marshmallow has offered to build me a 2x12 Dumble style cab when he next comes back to NZ. I quite like the sound of the speakers that are in the Boss cabinet so I may well yet use those ones in it. 150w capability and they’re extremely clear and neutral

Yep I look forward to it too. Actually I recommend an oversized 1x12 with 1 EV speaker (rated 200w or 150w). :D

MF, your JMP looks at home at my pad..

All I need now is a scalloped vintage strat, some skin tight leather and some cringe videos featuring my Ferrari collection

It's a ZW cab (wish I had the head for it), so guess he did, but can't verify if it's genuine or not as was before my time owning it.
I like to think he did..

They sound quite different also, MF's has EL34's, whereas mine has 6550's. There seems to be more headroom in mine, both sound beasty with a Boss SD-1 in front albeit I would still choose my JCM800 2203 for more modern tone. I have also decided I prefer them unjumpered, as the bass channel just adds to much mush/fuzz for my taste. Maybe just me though.

I have been using OD/Dist pedals and a Katana for so long, I forgot about how much old amps hum etc.. but the smell of valves working, can't get that from a pedal...
