I 3D printed a guitar that also lights up when played
Hi everyone, during lockdown I was busy 3D printing myself a guitar and I thought some here might like to see it. I also designed a electronics board that analyses the guitars output and drives 50 LEDs in sync with what's being played. Think of it like a spectrum analyser in a guitar. Here's a video of me demoing it:
And here's a video showing how I designed and built it:

I live in Miramar, Wellington. If you check my YouTube channel about page it also says I'm from New Zealand. Also can't you hear my obvious kiwi accent in my video?

That's really cool Josh, thanks for sharing. We've had a fair bit of spam here recently, hence BG's comments earlier, don't take it personally.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

EPIC! Did you build your own printer too? I do a bit of 3d stuff and 3d printing myself, nothing this cool tho'!

Thanks! Yep I built my own 3D printer. I hadn't intended on it but the guitar was just too big to print on my little UP 3D printer so it was a good excuse to make a much bigger printer.

Guitar looks awesome! Will definitely have more tone if you spray it with nitro.joshendy89 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 4:40 pmI live in Miramar, Wellington. If you check my YouTube channel about page it also says I'm from New Zealand. Also can't you hear my obvious kiwi accent in my video?

That's very impressive.
There are new technologies I haven't got my head around at all and 3D printing is one of them.
I made toast this morning. A bit burnt.
