Re: New Fender Amp Day!!
I think the Vibrolux Reverb is my favourite Fender amp. Nearly bought one around the time I ended up getting my Dr Z. The model I was looking at was known for having a bit of background hiss which put me off. But such a wonderful sounding amp.

No this was around 2008 so whatever was around then. Maybe like this one:

I haven't played through the 68 Custom but a guy I'm currently playing in a band with has one and goddam it's pretty. Can't tell you how it sounds though because he runs a Line 6 Helix through it.

Re: New Fender Amp Day!!
I'm somewhat ashamed to say that aside from a few minutes through a BJ III, I have never played through a fender amp - opportunity has never presented itself. Which is weird because I adore the quintessential fender sound. All my amps have been low watter EL84's so I guess that may be a factor; Fender excels at LOUD 6v6/6l6 stuff. I don't really dig their lower watt EL84 offerings.mr_sooty wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:37 amNo this was around 2008 so whatever was around then. Maybe like this one:

My bandmate plays a beaut gibson midtown custom into a handwired 5 watt amp, but en route sits a Vox multi effects pedal. Nothing against the pedal, but.....
