I kind of wonder, if the guitar had a better looking trem, if would fare better against a fender strat? I can just live with the headstock shape, but the bridge is a 'bridge too far' :-)
But the trem works perfectly. And I'm never looking at it when I'm playing.
Working perfectly doesn't count!!! hahahahaha!!!!
Does to me. :D

Or re-radius when it comes time to re-fret.

That's a good idea, if you are fitting wider frets anyway, it won't add much to the cost.

Alright fine.

If you want that strat you'll have to pry it from Slowy's cold dead hands. So you'll need to wait until Thursday.

Black Benny.

I bought a black,Fender style case on TM for the Korinacaster. When it arrived, it was carrying a babyshit brown Squier that someone had attacked with an aggressively abrasive object before recoiling in shock at their barbarity and scuttling off for a lie down.

I was in the middle of a build, I was intrigued by relicing techniques, the thing was a gift!

So this is what happened.

Not all at once, it sort of...evolved. I put it back together with bits from my parts box, you know... Gotoh...Seymour Duncan... CTS....Wilkinson, and it turned into a good sounding reasonable player that my Son is fond of for some reason.
Probably the best guitar for him.

This one's special. Shouldn't be on paper, but it is.

The much talked about Baja Tele. A bandmate bought it off TM but he couldn't live with the neck which was made by God especially for Slowy. Turned out everything else about it was made just for me as well.
It has 6 distinct pickup tones. 2 are very good and the other 4 are the best electric guitar voices I've found; just full of character. It's bright and ringy and sustains for ages. It plays and presents like a guitar 2-3 times its price. It's the best electric I have ever owned; by quite some margin. Music pours out of it.

And it's a Mexi!
There were 2 of these in the Band room, we got Molly's Baja as well. While very similar, I always knew instantly which one I picked up. There's a sprinkle of magic dust on this thing.

It's another superb guitar. But I've discovered it's not me. I'm a battered Fender guy. And when I'm not playing one, I wonder why. The Doozy has lots of tonal colour. It's a rewarding home player, would be an amazing studio guitar but in a band, I don't need that much subtlety and playing something as cosmetically perfect as this is just scary.

So does someone want to buy it? $2500?
look here Slowy, with a Clown Burst like that, I'll give you a hand shandy for it.

All the telecasters raise the question what is the best pick up combination?

Baja. CS Broadcaster and CS Twisted Tele. Plus the S1 switching.
