NFPD

Post by griff »

So I went and traded my Fulltone Red I wasn't using and decided I would give a Fuzz another shot through my rig. This Tortuga Yeti Fuzz popped up on Marketplace and the other fella was happy to give the Fulltone a shot.
This thing sounds frikken great!
I'm pretty novice when it comes to Fuzz but know that they usually sound best through a good clean. My main amp is a Laney Ironheart 60watt through Greenbacks and has a very good clean. And while it does sound great through the clean, it sounds even better through the crunch channel with the gain up high. It's phat, has definition and beautiful sustain! Its very inspiring to play.
I'm wondering if the gain structure of the Laney is a reason it works so well while it's all gained up...
All in all, pretty happy with this trade :D

(Conway, you're after a fuzz aren't you? This would be worth checking out)

BG, HE SAID 'GIRTH'!!!

Holy moley Griff, I love that Tele!
What is it? Tell....
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Cheers Bruce.
Actually Kerry built it. Its a Chaoz custom. I love it. Pretty heavy but sounds and plays nice. If you're around this Xmas You can have a pluck!

I’ve just got the most awesome fuzz pedal this week, probably my favourite ever - Buffalo FX Germanium Fuzz.

The top of that Tele looks like it’s an oil painting.

Polished with Carnauba wax. Originally with Tru oil. She's pretty slippery actually!
