Blondes
I've culled the heard a lot over the last 2 years, but here's the blondes that have made the cut.
2014 Gretsch '55 Vintage Select White Falcon - solid spruce top and nitro lacquer that is turning more yellow/creamy every year, TV Jones Pickups.
Partscaster Strat - MJT body thin lacquer that is getting reliced just by playing, Lollar pickups and AllParts fat neck.
2017 Gibson SJ-200, neck reset (thanks Trevor Binford), MV Custom Guitars pickguard,
2014 (I think) Fender Noscaster, completely stock.
Fulltone Tape Echo in the background, I guess that's blonde too.
Re: Blondes
Damn. What a stunning collection, kudos to you
And that Fulltone Tape Echo, have often found myself searchingly for one of those. Thanks for sharing

Re: Blondes
Love the white falcon and tape echo. I've been enjoying minimising my gear, but seeing those two really woke me up to how unrealistic my minimalist gear goals are.

Re: Blondes
Thanks, I got the TTE from Tonetronix many years ago when Fulltone wouldn't sell them direct and no one had them in NZ. I sometimes think its a bit overkill but its almost like an instrument in itself.Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:Damn. What a stunning collection, kudos to you

Thanks, I'm down to 13 guitars from a high of over 20. Probably still have too many according to my wife.Voxshall wrote:Love the white falcon and tape echo. I've been enjoying minimising my gear, but seeing those two really woke me up to how unrealistic my minimalist gear goals are.

@BG, can you please issue @Dano_NZ with a warning for posting pornography on the forum?
Dano, stunning guitars, love the Gibson and Falcon, would love to have a go on those two!

Re: Blondes
I recall the chap in Rockshop telling me they were sold with two drive wheels (or some such). One round and one slightly eccentric to replicate wear and to minutely vary the repeats as you might find with an old tape echo unit.jeremyb wrote:Fulltone tape echo?? nonchalantly photo bombing, damn dude, nice gear!
I used to have a Wem Copycat. I think everybody did. Trying to play Queen's Brighton Rock from Live Killers.
Re: Blondes
I would imagine that this might be interesting for a lot of people here

Re: Blondes
About the only proper hardware delay I'd like to own is the recreation of the binson echorec that T-Rex are building, for me thats the best delay tone ever

Re: Blondes
I currently have a HH Electronic 'Multi' Echo' from 1974. It's multi-head and you can run a couple at the same time, so good
There's certainly something special about tape. I'd love to one day own an Echoplex EP-3 or one of the sought after ones, can't see it happening but there's no harm in dreaming

I'm sure everyone's wanting to know what the rest of your collection looks likeDano_NZ wrote:Thanks, I'm down to 13 guitars from a high of over 20. Probably still have too many according to my wife.
Re: Blondes
Thanks for the comments guys.
... And here's the err, Redheads/Sunbursts. I may have some of the dates wrong so forgive me.
2016 Gibson '58 Custom Shop Les Paul. Stock
2013 Tokai Jazz Bass Japanese with lacquer finish. Flatwounds. A little beat up from gigging when I was the bass player in the band, I'm a terrible bass player and gave me an appreciation for those of you that are actually bass players. Stock.
2005 Gibson Les Paul SG Junior (Batwing of course), dont love the look of these but man its easy to play and sounds great, chunky neck too. Stock
2014 Gibson Rich Robinson ES-335. Main gigging guitar when that was a thing. This guitar is outstanding and covers so many basses. I haven't even changed the strings on it in 2 years after I bought it. Stays in tune even with the Bigsby. Low action, light strings but I can play slide on it too. I'm afraid to mess with anything on it in case I disrupt its Mojo. Stock
