NGD: Donnie JS
Despite my not really liking Satch that much. I've now owned 4 JS guitars.
The last JS1200 I had didn't spin my wheels that much but the first and the one Adrian made for me (mahogany body with wizard neck) did.
I sold the Ash one to Sty a while back and had virtual instant regret - I've dibsed it but no doubt my fingers and hands will be suffering from considerable arthritis by the time that comes back up for sale!
That took adrian about 3 years to do iirc. I think he was in his pissed off at doing copies of guitars phase. I threatened to send it xmas cards.
So stoked that opsguy put his up for sale - iirc Ade only did 3, mine, Phils and Iains. The missus saw Iains and told me I had to get one - so I went for the red version that John has now.
tl:dr;
Chuffed that I have another, I forgot how much they need a strap to stop it slipping from your thigh (fnarr fnarr) and after changing strings and playing for 5 minutes - its a keeper
Plays like buttah, 9's are skinny, etc
Anyone who says changing strings on a floyd/edge etc is hard, is a pussy.

That's excellent mate
I do regret selling you that 1200 it's the only ibanez with a floyd I've had that I enjoyed playing/holding ect
Yep and Floyd's are easy to set up in fact if you do it right it sets it self up
No brainer really

Don't regret, it was the weakest I've had. Still great but the others I've had were special.Olderama wrote:That's excellent mate

Great guitars and much under-rated, you really do need to ignore the fact it's a sig guitar and just appreciate it as it is.
Which was the one you had at the Bollix gearfest before last?

I think you're all ganging up on me
but I hate to be the bearer of bad news but my 11 year old really loves that guitar, even though he doesn't play properly yet, I think it is largely to do with the boobies on the back...

These look so cool. Were they all hand painted?

I understand the regret, that one is an amazing example. I remember I was really trying to like Ed's N4 that day (which admittedly I didn't like the set up on) but your JS just kept drawing me back.Bg wrote:The one sty has now
A perfect blend of classic rock and shredder guitar.

Have heard from Adrian as why it took so long. Apparently he'd do a bit then get worried he was going to fuck it up so would leave it for a month or two haha....
