I ended up swapping the neck pickup for a Lace as well. The T Top sounds lovely but cutting a bit more weight is the priority. Also I thought the T Top might shine more in an LP with mahogany neck, probably gonna chuck it in the neck position of my '90 Custom.

Seeing the Adam Jones sig model priced at US$6-10K surely made me glad that I picked this up last year...

This video convinced me to try the T-Top in the bridge position (supposedly there's no difference in bridge/neck models).

T Tops have that real focused mid but can still bite at the top. Looking good! Will you keep it in>

Not 100% sure yet. It does have enough output and the voicing works. But the clarity is more "Duncan-tier" than "Bareknuckle-tier" if that makes sense. I love a bit smear and haze in my neck pickups but not quite for bridge.

I had a teams call with Govt CTO yesterday and we used video, I suddenly realised I was sat there in a Tool T-Shirt and my guitars were hanging on the wall behind me. Much to my relief at the end of the meeting he said " good to see another Tool fan that plays guitar, what did you think of Fear Inoculum?" and was grinning from ear to ear.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Still probably cheaper than a CC#1 haha.

But on the other hand it's modelled after a guitar that was only selling for US$3K 2 years ago...

I was itching to ask him if it was one of the ones that fell off the back of a truck.
