Jeez that is a nice looking piece of work though. You know it's just the tele shape I'm not a fan of, but that's still a thing of beauty.

keep going with the coloured pickups! next stop: moulding your own bobbins for colours that the makers don't do...

Nice build Adrian! Very slick... I just noticed your logo ninja-embossed on the brickwork too, lol...

Re: Ash Customworks stuff 2012
It's down-tuning week, I reckon. Second of the three was finished yesterday and collected today - an Ash Quattra, 35"scale tuned to Drop-C:

~ Mahogany body stained orange and finished in satin lacquer
~ Padauk neck (naturally orange) oiled/waxed and ebony fretboard
~ Seymour Duncan Blackouts Bass humbuckers and preamp
~ 35" scale length, 50-115 strings, Drop-C tuning
And by some form of coincidence, the serial number is 1212121 and it was finished on 12/12/12

I'd just about give that one a pass due to the humbuckers and non meccano set bridge. just about.

Re: Ash Customworks stuff 2012
I've played a few Radians and Ash Customs now (handy result of attending the same gearfests as Adrian) and that is the one thing that every one of his guitars has, a real, solid quality feel. They just feel properly engineered, if you can apply that term to a guitar.Daza152 wrote: It is easy to tell you have a great eye for detail.

Tell me about it, if you go to the Operations building where I work, if you can even find a non-Safa, you win a prize.willow13 wrote:and has not even a safa which is rare for an engineer these daysslash-ed wrote:You probably can - he's even a real life engineer to boot!
