I've always been an acoustic player first, but playing electric allows me to have friends.

I never used to play electric at home but these two have changed all that. Combined with an amp and (sorry) a cable, I'm enjoying what they have to offer.
Suppose after 35 years, a man could get Fendered out......

The Arps is going to ruin me though. It weighs nothing, it sounds huge. For a well worn body (mine) that is a wondrous combination!

I love the look of that Arps. It’s very YOU too.

I could be making shit up here, but my brain is telling me that the pickup being a bit forward of the usual placement for a bridge pickup would be excellent. Is it a bit more mellow than the typical bridge pickup bite?

We look utterly ridiculous together: it's tiny, I'm not.

I don't have anything to compare it with but I've thought a lot about this one. There's enough treble in most situations. I frequently turn treble down to about 8. Only when fingerpicking the cleans you get from reduced volumes does the desire for more treble appear.

The pickup was a gift from Oleg; an inspired gift and I treasure it. I think it's a Mighty Mite. I have no idea where it sits on the strata of P90s and I don't care; I love what this one does with the guitar it's attached to!

Thinking about it, you're right. If you gave me a blank sheet of paper and said, 'design a guitar,' the Arps is pretty much what I'd come up with.

I just love single P90 guitars for some reason. It's a rabbit hole that takes a lot of energy to resist. Lucky for me the Arps, after a pickup swap, sounded exactly like the P90 in my head and continues to do so. Perfect guitar!

I recently met a supply of beer tap stickers so I thought it was time to give Black Benny an upgrade.

Sad beer nerd, mentally approving of the labels and beer/cider they represent. Does look good though, you could just keep layering as you get more.
