Re: Show Us Your Guitar
I do like the symmetry of a double cut, just looks proper!

I think it is an Eric Johnson--US made. My fave US Strat. But for some stupid reason I sold it.

Re: Show Us Your Guitar
I think of those double cut LPs as being closer to an SG than an LP. 24 fret neck and a much lighter body and a more 'open' tone. They are also better balanced than an SG, so easier to play.

Re: Show Us Your Guitar
After adding a Bigsby to my Coronet, I was inspired to add a trem back onto my Olympic.
Before; After; After an enjoyable week of suffering through a hurricane and only getting power back this morning the Maestro trem arrived in the post. The guitar had one back in it's heyday but at some stage in its life it disappeared.
The new remake was only $60, fits in the existing holes looks the part.

Re: Show Us Your Guitar
Way better than me!

Its pretty great now, I love the neck shape, nice low action with 9s, trying to be period correct but I haven't played less than 10s for a decade now so thats weird... it feels fast and the pickup has some serious grunt, my AC10 was distorting heavily with the gain down on about a quarter
