He seems a somewhat shadowy character.

"We're not at work."
Damn, how do you do it?! And are you in need of a plectrum technician or personal assistant? :)

Didn't do nothing. I had them written off as expensively underclad eye candy. To my surprise they really got into our second set and we started talking during the break.
Within a minute I no longer believed my assumptions. The underwear modelling was paying for a Medical degree and a Ph.D thesis. I immediately became grateful for my advanced age and decrepitude. All my life, ultra smart women have been my weakness and my downfall.

Bunch of old farts playing a 50th last night to 200 of the birthday boy's family and friends. It started out slow but the final set was a blinder. Packed dance floor, singing their heads off. I now know what Rod Stewart was talking about when he described an audience taking the songs right out of your hands and running away with them.

The bar shut us down at midnight and I really thought for a moment there might be a riot.

I love my second job! :D

Saw in 2020 the right way by cranking in almost 50 tunes to a great crowd up at the Stillwater Boat Club.

Midnight setup last night for a gig Saturday evening

Victoria Picture Theatre, Devonport. We couldn't get in until the movies had finished and everything has to be squeezed behind the screen until the Saturday sessions are finished.

Logistically, it's a challenge but I finally got to poke around the hidden nooks and crannys of a movie theatre. Very cool.

The theatre's speakers will stay put. Gives a Neil Young feel to the stage. :D

Saturday night at the Vic. It was a Bond themed do hence the magpie look.

Hottest gig I've ever done. Reckon I lost weight from the sweat.

And with the opportunity for my amps to clear their throats, it felt great.

I'm completely blown away by my Baja Tele. Whether jangling or roaring, it sounded huge!

This was fun. Three audiences. 6 of us in the bubble, all the neighbours out on their decks drinking and yelling, and a live feed to facebook. And I lived to tell the tale :D

Bit of a dredge, I know, but I'm quite happy with this band.
We don't normally have a frontman so this was a bit of change. Unfortunately, he's only here until February.
"Vince, have you ever tried playing an expensive bass?" - Polarbear.
"And isn't that the finest acoustic bass guitar feedback solo you've ever heard?" - Billy Moose.
