RIP Alexi Laiho
Dead at 41 after a long illness. Gutted. Another monster player I never managed to see live and now I never will.

Re: RIP Alexi Laiho
I think technically he died last year because he died last week but it only got released to the public overnight.
Loved CoB during the late 90's
Sad day (my auntie died over night also)
If Less is More Then Just Think How Much More More would be

Re: RIP Alexi Laiho
CoB has some amazing stuff around their debut. IMO the quintessential example of a band's style becoming more and more generic through its catalogue and a parody of itself. Heard Alexi was a heavy drinker with messy live performances, but he seems like a good person.

It seems young to me, at the age of *cough* 37
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Re: RIP Alexi Laiho
Chucked on a bit of CoB this morning cause I never really gave them a listen (or any post thrash metal really),
I can honestly say that I absolutely love that band! The harmonies and riffs are incredible!
Will be getting heavy rotation on my part

I didn't think he looked too bad there. This one however... you can tell he is seriously sick
Still no official cause of death but seems like a lot of people are saying that it might have been stomach cancer
