Had no idea this was going on, PJ putting together a Beatles film from old footage!

Holy crap that looks awesome !
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Wow!

I'm not the worlds biggest Beatles fan but that looks like it will be amazing. And the colours are so vibrant.

Was a huge Beatles fan when I was a kid, much to my parents' dismay. Looking forward to this too!

Awesome. George Martin is so young. Lennon looks way more animated on video than in photos. I cannot wait.

"Revolution in the Head" is the best book on the Beatles in case anyone is tempted to warm up with some reading.

My boat is rocked by this. Big time :-)
I climbed on the back of a giant albatross which flew through a crack in the cloud to a place where happiness reigned all year round and music played ever so loudly

Just picked up Revolution in the Head for the third time.

The reviews on the back range from the Telegraph ("brilliant") to Noel Gallagher ("Fucking amazing book, man ... ").

Ian Macdonald's 512 pages is a remarkable book, as full of love and longing for the lost optimism and promise of the 60s as it is with arcane historical facts and deep musical analysis.

Knew this was coming. Love the guitar collection on Jackson's cutting room couch!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
