Mostly got to know his stuff through his association with other artists, for me notably SRV. I had this on VHS when I was a teenager, thought this was as good as it got!

I saw him on a few occasions when I lived in New Orleans, often unannounced guest spotting on other peoples shows. Class act, musical powerhouse and happy to chat if you were buying drinks
