I hope you're referring to the band, and not the cartoon character (which would be off topic).

Also not that much of a fan, but really cool doco. Enjoyed all the old footage. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to have to deal with the tragedy at that Roskilde concert.

I love Pearl Jam. I was 15 in 1990 so I was all over it then and I'm still really fond of their music. I had every studio album they ever did except I gave one away as a birthday present to my brother when I was skint one year, so now I have all but one. I saw them in Auckland in 1995, but missed the last concert due to a bad case of apathy, which I regret.

I watched part of the docu last night and taped the rest on my Wow Rare Collectible VCR. Looking forward to watching it.

Same here... stoopid work. Of course I only realised that after rushing out to set it to record... and couldn't find it.

Apparently the DVD has some good extras. I like the bit when Stone offers to make a cup of coffee but the cup is filthy...his house looks very modest. Matches his style. The early footage is great...that concert when Eddie is yelling at the security guy....classic. A good watch in my view. No mention of STP however (was there?), which if IIRC were oft linked/compared to/grouped with PJ. Why I'll never know - lax journo work most likely.

Cos they were both grunge bands, durr. Same way that AC/DC and Sepultura are exactly the same...

I think it's more liquid blues, or maybe liquid rock.
