Here in the black, his recent live album is well worth a spin for a catchup, includes a lot of the old favourites!

I highly recommend the Jason Becker doco "not dead yet" ....... Sad and inspiring at the same time.

Someone may have mentioned it but I really enjoyed the Tom Petty doco that's on Netflix.

Went trawling for this thread as a possible good place to book mark documentaries, spotted this post and started watching it last night.

WOW - really enjoyed the first part, can't wait to dive in for part 2 next

Well maybe not a documentary as such but Neil Young will be opening up his online Archives. Looks like it'll have everything. Some interesting comments on streaming audio quality in the blurb. It hasn't opened but there is a blurb on the home page:

Keen as to see the HLAH doco Swagger of Thieves. Biggest influence a NZ band had on my playing/performance was their wild shows of the early 90's
