Re: SRV
Some of the most devastating playing I've heard from the man. Also, what a rhythm section.

Speaking of awesome playing, I'll see you next Tuesday.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: SRV
Love SRV, goat bluesman.
Cool story.. not sure if any of you have heard of the Backgammon club in Kaponga Taranaki? Little place on the main street, bands used to play there all the time through the 70's 80's and 90's. Midge Marsden, Split Enz, Dave D called in occasionally. SRV even turned up once. He was playing his gat early hours of the morning down in the lounge. One of the patrons that were staying there shouts down the hall "Stop playing that fucken guitar!" Not knowing who's hands it was in. Imagine being that guy eh

Re: SRV
Great version. He played with a funkier touch than I'd remembered. Micro adjustments to the height of his fretting fingers to shorten the length of the notes. Takes years and years of practice to get total control like this, of course. And to do it late at night while high as a kite and sweating in a hat and pirate clothing ...
In life, don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Of course it sounds fiercer than his usual fare. He's using a proper rock amp for a change ( or a couple from the look of things ).

Re: SRV
I would like to see a photo or a link to what exactly a double adaptor is. My imagination is failing me most mornings...
