Asymmetrical necks way back in the 90s. Nice neck heel carve. Stringer laminated into neck to stop the neck bowing. Attractive ash. Modern styling but not silly looking. Cool as.

This from USA Bass Player Magazine

I have the 5 string version of this, which was purchasdd in 2010. Still counting my lucky stars with this instrument, absolutely superb construction and playability

An iceberg?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Neck is good
No structural flaws
Original Electronics👍

I'd say original hardware, Chrome was a custom option, I did drop $580 on hardware assuming I'd need to refit.

Hilariously it came strung with GHS flats.

Obviously too early too say if this is my best buy ever but it'll be in the top 5.

Very low action
A bit of fret noise.

Neck is amazing. Wenge fingerboard probably

I haven't taken the back off yet to get at the onboard preamps. But theres 3 or 4 great tones in this instrument with minimal meddling
