No frets needed I reckon. I agree, very cool looking bass and it plays so well. It's longer than 34" scale though. The Hof in the Pic is a very early 64 also 🙂

What bass cab IRs would you guys recommend? Two Notes have 40% off for black friday: https://www.two-notes.com/en/catalog/dy ... nets/bass/

I currently have the ampeg 8x10 (Bommel Peggy 810 Mothership) and I use this with the wall of sound plugin which has a tube power amp emulation, and I run my Darkglass B7K clone into my interface, but what other cabs should I ideally have?

Gosh I really don't know. I've gone live through the Ampeg 810s which sound really good (still prefer my Fender Neo 810 though) and I've used a variety of Genz-Benz cabs before which I love.
Had the chance to have a bit of a blat through a friend's Mesa Subway 2x12 cab which was so very impressive. Big sounding cab :-)

Fridge - Ampeg 8x10
WGrandBlvd - B15 1x15
Power house 2x12 - Mesa 2x12

When I had my two notes cab m+ these were particularly amazing.

I really like the B15 with dirt

It is a righteous rig alright and there is nothing quite like a big tube head pushing big cabs.

Rob, I have a Mesa M6 Carbine too which sounds very punchy with the 810. The M9s & M6 Carbines are so very good.

I'm a Mesa fanboy, but damn those Carbines sound as good as it anything I've ever heard.

SCROLL BASS
Yup, 1968 Ampeg AMUB-1 Lovely bass :-)
I didn’t think we’d have one of those in NZ. Coolest looking bass of all time. Needs more frets though, but then you do keep hooligans like myself from sullying it.

Absolutely righteous rig, I am very jealous!

If time allows I use a 300w valve amp with 1510 cab for practice

Bit the bullet and picked up one of those Ampeg Rocket Bass combos today, it’s just the 8” speaker one but plenty big and powerful enough for my bedroom!

I used to use a smallish Ampeg combo for “Cafe” type gigs.

Did the trick
