In 1989 at Charlie Jemmet’s Music Store on Cashel Street there was a 1968 Blue Paisley Telecaster
Which I didn’t purchase as $995 was “too pricey “
The pain stays with me
A couple of years later had no hesitation dropping $2K on a L2 Steinberger.
GAS is a thing for sure
I didn't buy a 1961 Hofner 500/1 for $1000 which was offered to me by Alan Kingsley-Smith. 1999
About 1992/93 I saw a Rickenbacker 4005 bass offered for sale in a Wellington music shop for $1400. I didn't buy it.
(Quietly sobbing in the corner now as we speak).
I climbed on the back of a giant albatross which flew through a crack in the cloud to a place where happiness reigned all year round and music played ever so loudly

By a music store in Wellington
There we sat down
And we wept
When we remembered bargain
Bloody rattly bass cab! Thought it was a voice coil at first, but a few hours of stuffing about revealed a loose thingy - the part that makes the handle recess.
I had a look online and it seems us bass players spend much time fixing rattling cabs, rattling rooms and even rattling bass guitars.

A sure cure for seasickness is to sit under a tree.
