Oh man, that looks absolutely stunning. Probably the coolest bass I've ever seenTricksta wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 7:53 am Possibly one for the "in the post" thread, as I don't have it in my hands yet. But I'm breaking the rules because this is quite special to me and I've been waiting over a year for it. Folks, I present my custom build Marleaux Consat, on its way from Germany very soon.

So the Mark Bass strings I got for my 5 are quite interesting, the bridge end is tapered too, apparently to allow you to get lower action, it looks weird though... the tapered other end has a yellow cotton wrap around it which looks kinda cool...

Jeez, ordinary Foderas cost an arm and a leg, I shudder to think how much this one would set you back!

Yep I've had it for a little while now. Plays and sounds every bit as good as it looks. Construction is flawless. It's a little on the heavy side, but not uncomfortably so. I think that'd probably be the mostly-maple construction , which is a fair trade off in return for having mids for days.Jay wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 1:43 pmBeautiful, it must have arrived by now?Tricksta wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 7:53 am Possibly one for the "in the post" thread, as I don't have it in my hands yet. Short answer, I love it. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Theres a 1970 aluminium necked Kramer bass on a certain NZ auction website right now. Pretty crazy design, I've read about them online. Never thought id see one of those over here in NZ.

Pretty sure that's my old one that I used for a while in the mid 80s. There was (or is) a few of them around.
