I have!

Very warm drive, and a good preamp “Louder” option when switched to that

Unsure if it’s the one for me but I felt pretty happy about it

How did you get on or still waiting?
Still waiting - turns out Deutsche Post -> DHL -> NZ Post means "DHL flies it to the 'Middle East' and then puts it on a boat" so it could take 50+ days to get here. I should've known that €10 worldwide shipping was too good to be true...

I think I need a bass equalizer pedal :problem:

My educated guess is the signal from the bass to the amp will benefit, but can someone explain in more detail?

Also, which one are the good ones?

EQ is tone improvement

Bass to Amp May be a Boost or Pre Amp

Toany has major experience with various Bass Pre-Amps

I’ve used the old Boss Brown Bass PQ-3B pedal for decades , a Parametric EQ can be handy in a live situation

Pre-Amp with my Passive Basses, Sadowsky BP1 is the go.

Always a good idea. You can go a long way down the rabbit hole here.

Cheap: Joyo American Sound $60ish
Kinda cheap: Ampeg classic analog $200ish new, Tech 21 VT Bass
Mid price: Aguilar Tone Hammer $300ish
Pricey: Shiftline Olympic, Darkglass pedals $500ish
Very: HX Stomp, Noble preamp $1000ish

They’re all adding a bit of grit or tubiness. The higher you go the more entire amp in a box you go.

Personally I have a Tonehammer, a Darkglass X Ultra, and a Line 6 Helix (big brother to HX Stomp)

I would grab and American sound first and see if that’s the ticket

A good Compressor definitely helps too in my opinion.

Also it may be an idea to decide if you want the pedal to do 4 things ok or 1 thing world class.

 So I want to put 12 pedals on the board now

A major roadblock is positioning of the power input.
6x North
2x NE
1x EN
1x E
2x WS

A uniform approach to this would (in my instance at least) be more useful. Input/Output being top or side might be beneficial as well

Yes, but I was meaning tone improvement to the signal from the instrument to the amp. The amp has tone knobs as well (though only two on my Bassman 50).
I have a Sansamp YYZ that does pre-amp and equalizing and a MXR M87 compressor coming, so maybe that combination will be all I need, ever!

IIRC you can patch over the front of the Jansen to give more EQ options (?)

Oh yeah, YYZ is all you need - same preamp vibe. I really liked my one. MXR bass comp is great too - very fast attack if that’s your thing

Combo sounds very good.
