Good to see you here!

Yeah, I’ve played the Factotum before and was a bit underwhelmed by the drive section. That’s probably because bass drive is so damn subjective but I think I’d rather the optional full on synth noise of the zeus
I thought to be more sensible… but that didn’t last long enough. Definitely had fun with the Zeus, and on the look out for another.

Got an Aguilar tone hammer again, looking out for an octamizer. Coming full circle to my board from 7 years ago, must learn to hoard, prices have gone up 😂

Tell me about it.

After buying my 5th Tonehammer I made peace with the reality that no matter what I need to just keep it in the drawer when it’s out of rotation. Also loved my Octamizer and TLC, both of which I sold for reasons I can’t recall. Would happily have the trifecta back.

I’m also a fan of the old Boss Brown Bass Pedals

If you see one grab one. They all do at least 1 thing very well and built like a tank

Pretty stoked with that one! Got me a bargain for once.

I use a Cali76 Bass, and have previously used Diamond (same as Mr Foal).

I have already found this guy's stuff. Wow, what a stellar effort on compressor reviews!

I'm giving the MRX a go as I like the options: attack, release, ratios etc. I have been using a Buzz Audio pre (their version of API) and then a optical comp after that, with some satisfying results in the recording realm. In the real world I have a early 70's Jansen Baseman 50, that seems to highlight my dynamic, or should I say erratic right hand, so hoping to smooth things out a little and maybe add a little warmth in the mix.

Cool. I used a Jansen BassMan 50 as a recording amp for years with a flatwound 70’s Precision and the Diamond Comp

Good luck 👍 Are you getting a Lakland from Neville?
