Who's that playing Bass?
reading some stuff on OzBass made me think if a guitar centric lot might contribute a different angle.
what Bass Players can you identify from 'their sound'
as in Clapton, BB King, Prince, Santana, maybe Beck and Marr all are identifiable (to me at least) on guitar are there any Bass Players that personalized.
I reckon I can pick Marcus Miller and Peter Hook. Probably Entwistle and Graham.
anybody?

Fieldy
I think I can recognise quite a few, but I'm really only familiar with popular bassists...I don't know many session musos.
Chris Wolstenholme, Tim Commerford, Justin Chancellor and Flea are probably the most obvious. I think my main problem in telling people apart is never actually paying attention to the "original", so it's hard when so many players try to emulate that person.

Oh, and a few more...JPJ, Duck Dunn, and I reckon Colin Greenwood is quite unique in a lot of ways. And, of course, Stuart Zender

Lemmy's not hard to spot...

Definitely Entwhistle, Lemmy, Flea, John Deacon from Queen, Paul McCartney and Pino Palladino.

Great question ... I usually pick Billy Sheehan and Stu Hamm fairly quickly.
I picked Victor Wooten once ... but that was a guess.

James Jamerson is a no-brainer to pick. So is Donald 'Duck' Dunn.
On double bass Ray Brown is easy to hear.
