I climbed on the back of a giant albatross which flew through a crack in the cloud to a place where happiness reigned all year round and music played ever so loudly

Helluva job there. Helluva job. I never in a million years would've guessed it had once been a 5-string.

Don't look at it as a butchered headstock, look at it as a streamlined headstock with cigarette rest.

I thought you were being serious. I clicked on the link, and saw the first pic-from far away.

First thing I thought was that somebody had stripped back the finished, applied venneers, and refinished, reshaped the headstock, and added humbuckers. I thought it was actually a brilliant job.

Then I saw the closeup of the bridge ( ) and it was all downhill from there.

I used to have one - they were quite a nice little bass - when in original condition.

wow, so they've moved from tutorials to bass now
Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

And without that unsightly extra tuner, the bass is now less neck heavy.
"Vince, have you ever tried playing an expensive bass?" - Polarbear.
"And isn't that the finest acoustic bass guitar feedback solo you've ever heard?" - Billy Moose.
