But I don’t want to take the pick up out
You can go by the year I think - don’t think looking at it would help much to figure out anyway

Apparently Alnico you can see the 8 magnets

Ceramic has two bars covering the bottom of the 8 poles👍

Got the big fucking bass back from TG tonight.
He’s a good man.

The only downside is that’s my last set of Sadowsky Black Flats.

Another Tobias will be returning next week so hopefully can give an opinion on the New Sadowsky Blue Flats. I’ve got some Labellas from Nev in January which I still haven’t tried    was thinking the old Jazz but worried it might be hard going on the old warhorse.

I’m surprised how honky the new Flats are. I guess I’m so used to years old strings anything would sound bright. If rained off tomorrow morning will give it a thrashing

You should try the bass out if you have any time left afterwards.

“The Stingray is characterized by its one and only sound. Everyone used to use it but I don’t see many people using it today. I would like you to show the eyes of the Sun again with your hands”

Interesting sales pitch from EBay

Maybe it didn’t translate well.

I can say I don’t think I can get a Fretless 5 Stingray unlined for less than 5.5K
Which goes to show “trade opportunities Foal missed” could be its own thread

Been scouring YouTube for introductory bass lessons for my daughter. I think she enjoys have a cool bass in her room much more than actually being able to play it... Hoped if I could find something accessible and cool she'd start to make progress.

Any YouTuber in particular you'd recommend? Her taste is for pop really; that Harry Styles chap mostly, but also RHCP (so there's hope).

Thanks.

If she’s a beginner then strongly recommend 1/1 in person

If You Tube is the only option then some people like “Scott’s Bass Lessons”

Does she read music or this new Bass her first instrument ?
