Cheers Smallface. I did worry that the more expensive one would be a big step up. Ah well, looks like I don't get to be a proper skinflint on this.

not the homeslice
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
Talmans are crazy good bang for your buck. This one was like 450 new. Bit too hot but there's plenty of routing to add J bass pots to make it passive

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
anyone found a good SUB 4 StringRay worth playing?
I played a load of them, some had no output, a few were pretty dead
THEN I FOUND THE ONE
OMG

How's that 5 SR655? I've been seriously contemplating adding one of those as a 5 string option.
Edit: Sorry for replying to a three year old post.

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
My work colleague just got a Talman (agreed, outstanding vfm) and changed it to passive using another concentric pot as separate volumes for each pickup and putting a master tone on the control plate. Sounds MILES better passive. Was way too much in active mode.

Don't some amps have active or passive inputs ? Could be wrong herequyet wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 5:53 pmyer, at the moment its volume is always at like 10% no joke.. still a decent sound tho.. will mod it soon!mr_sooty wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 2:43 pmMy work colleague just got a Talman (agreed, outstanding vfm) and changed it to passive using another concentric pot as separate volumes for each pickup and putting a master tone on the control plate.
