Haha, his style is take it or leave it. So many people see the face melting chromatics and dissmiss it as slop but there is genius in there, true brilliance, some or his phrasing is just out of this world.

If you listen to all the LC stuff on a whole, you will see that he doesn't go off too much.

I'm a fan of the dude as well but have to admit his frenzied soloing is... "not my thing".

Give me a nice melodic hair metal solo any day.

There's an interview with them on Youtube where one of them is saying "I've played with guys who'll start a solo playing 'inside' for a while , then go 'out' for a bit and come back 'in;...then you have Vernon, who'll start off playing outside, come in for a little bit, and then LEAVE"
